Working with personal and commercial portfolios for more than eight years, it is always exciting to undertake this type of project. Black & White is a commercial photography portfolio owned by the Creative Director, Argyris Raftopoulos. The client requested the creation of a web portfolio to showcase their work, with the key feature of navigating and browsing photography easily by scrolling.

After organising the given content and structuring the project’s skeleton, I started designing the mockups based on the client’s brief. Adding horizontal functionality to the template, promotes ease of access, interaction, and navigation to the visitors. I created two horizontal templates that were presented in dark and light versions. The light version of the current template was selected providing strong contrast between the images and the background.
Project Breakdown
To give the client complete control using and updating the portfolio’s content, WordPress was used as the CMS platform. The template was developed in PHP to meet the design needs and work within WordPress. The horizontal scrolling is completely adjustable and lightweight. Uploading images of any size will fit perfectly in the template.
Responsive Design
The website is supported to display perfectly in different devices and browsers, while its responsive design makes it completely adjustable to different screen sizes.
